Vastu is a field of study under architectural engineering. The core philosophy of Vastu is to enhance positive energies and minimize negative energies in our place of stay and place of work. Vastu is a science based on directions that studies the impact of earth’s electro-magnetic waves in association with the various forces of nature (sun, fire, earth, air, space) on human lives.

Vastu is a scientific way to establish connections between occupants of a place and all natural energy sources that are available in abundance around us. Some of these energies have positive and others have negative effects. Thus over the years, the residents of a dwelling get consumed either by positive or negative energies based on the architecture and layout of the structure.

Mr. J. P. Agarwal has developed a unique methodology of culminating the study of these positive and negative energies in various directions with mathematical calculations. Using complex mathematical analysis, we are able to tell you for how long you may have been facing problems in those premises and with our solutions by what timeframe will see results or changes. With our research and study for the past three decades, we have built significant knowledge around combinations of time and impact with high degree of accuracy. We have also developed a unique Vastu scoring framework which also helps you understand how good the place is from a Vastu perspective, before and after the changes.

There are both short term and long term effects of Vastu. Let me explain it with an analogy. When we are sick, medicines help us recover instantly but this may not be a long-term solution. For good health, we need to nurture our body with a good diet, exercise and lifestyle over a longer period of time. Similarly, concrete Vastu solutions take time for it to have long term benefits. There are some measures that can be taken to have an immediate effect on a small scale, but for major changes, Vastu takes time. Like good health is not dependent on one aspect like good food alone, similarly Vastu is not dependent on one factor alone but governed by a combination of multiple factors. The time taken for the effects of Vastu flaws to show up, can be short or long, depending on different aspects. To summarise, we see that different Vastu benefits or drawbacks start showing results at different points in time and with different intensity. Given Mr. Agarwal’s research on the science of Vastu for the last 30 years, he has been able to guide many people to implement good Vastu and also estimate a time period within which the Vastu changes will come into effect.

Vastu has nothing to do with the astrology of a person. If there are four people living in a house, then astrologically they can have different predictions, but the impact of good or bad Vastu of the house will be good or bad respectively on all four members. These two subjects, which are rich and deep in their own way, are unrelated. However, the impact of different parts of a house will impact different people differently, for example, a north east cut will have a more severe impact on a male member than a female member of the household; similarly, a south west cut will have a bigger impact on the senior most male member of the house when compared to the younger male.

We should understand, that Vastu is a science governed by powers of nature and hence it applies to all human beings irrespective of location or religion and these principles don’t change as you move across countries.

The energies of a place where you stay on or work at affects the person. The longer your duration of stay, the greater is the impact of the Vastu of that place on your life. If you own a house but you do not stay there, then the Vastu of the place does not have any impact on you.

Vastu of a place affects the people who live in or work in a place. It does not matter whether the person is an owner or tenant.

A rectangular or square space is ideal. However, some extensions or cuts may also be beneficial. Some extensions or cuts create negative energy, which can be rectified by Vastu corrections.

All the four directions have auspicious as well as inauspicious entries.
